The Air Jordan 13 Retro University Blue 2012 takes its design cues from the "Black Cat" silhouette that debuted in 1998. The sneaker features a black mesh and leather upper with blue suede overlays. The black tongue and black insole each feature a blue Jumpman and the toe box finishes off the design with Jordan branding at the bottom of the laces. Adding to the eye-catching look is the panther eye on the lateral-side collar with a holographic finish. The midsole is blue and is contrasted by a black curving up onto it from the outsole.
