This February, Nike released the Air Griffey Max 1 White Freshwater 2021 GS sneaker for grade-schoolers as a tribute to beloved baseball player Ken Griffey Jr. Its vibrant colorway of white, black, and teal give the shoe a modern appeal. The construction features a Nike Swoosh on the tongue and heel, and Ken Griffey Jr.’s player number 24 is embroidered on the pull tab and ankle strap. Its upper is made from a combination of black nubuck and white synthetic leather for added durability and comfort. The sole is also fitted with a rubber outsole and a Max Air cushion in the midsole to ensure support for the forefoot and heel.
